Brief History<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In the early 1950s, palletised cargo technology began to play an important role in transport in order to improve the efficiency of transport costs.<\/p>\n

Over time, railway companies realised that this development would become a future logistics necessity, and they immediately set out to meet this need.<\/p>\n

In 1961, the railway companies DB, SBB, CFL, FS, NS, SNCB, SNCF and \u00d6BB established the EPP (European Pallet Pool).<\/p>\n

The basic prerequisite for this project was\u2014and still is\u2014the uniform quality of pallets. For this reason, the EPP member railway companies agreed to use exclusively standardised pallets with dimensions of 800 \u00d7 1200 mm, in accordance with UIC data sheet 435-2.<\/p>\n

In Romania, MAV-REC Kft., based on the mandate received from RAIL CARGO HUNGARY Zrt., has entrusted MAV-REC PALET S.R.L. with carrying out grading inspections and authenticating pallets bearing the UIC\u2013EUR marking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under this mandate, MAV-REC PALET S.R.L. examines and verifies compliance with the production standard (UIC 435-2) at manufacturers and the repair standard (UIC 435-4) at repairers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through its strategic activity, based on new principles and carried out in accordance with legal provisions, MAV-REC PALET S.R.L. aims to contribute to a significant improvement in the situation of Euro pallets in Romania.
